Homework.

For this type of homework, I have been given to choose a wide range of different registers to transform with.
So, I have picked an article talking about members of society to participate in a charity event to help cancer in the Downs, Clifton.

The article's grammatical techniques, as well as the choice of words has been a formal type of piece, and also because it had been published by The Guardian.

Real article in its original register: (FORMAL)

''CAN YOU TOUGH IT OUT IN THE BIG CHARITY CHALLENGE?

A PERSONAL trainer is organising a team of 100 people to attempt the Tough Mudder charity. James Stadders, 31, from Redland, has already gathered 70 thrill-seekers and is hoping to put together the biggest team so far to enter the 12-mile obstacle course designed by the British Special forces. In Newport on September 21, participants will have to work together to fight their way though a gruelling course of mud, fire, ice, and water, and 10,000 volts of electricity. The Team led by James and colleague Josh Gibson, are hoping to raise £10,000 for pill-based charity Penny Brohn Cancer Care, which supported by their friend Genevieve Evans, 27, who battled cancer last year and is now in remission. Genevieve was diagnosed with squamous cell carcinoma on her 26th birthday in February 2012. She has surgery to remove her tumour from her tongue, and lymph nodes from her neck.''

''My unique transformation via the text above: (INFORMAL)

This personal trainer, whose a bloke, is organising a team of a whole bunch of peoples to try and join in a new challenge called TOUGH MUDDER. which is going to charity after we join in, then the money wil go to charity and wil hopefully raise ten thoussand pounds. A bloke from Redland, whose 31, asked loads and loads of others to take part. In the end he reached and got 70 people taking part in the 12-mile obsztacle race. It was happilly dezigned by the british special forces. in newport, on september 21st, people will need to work as a whole to battle their way though this course. It has too many unpleasant things.   Like mud fire ice, and water, and 10,000 volts of dangerous electricity.    This team is led by a bloke called james and his colleague josh gibson  are trying to raise a big bunch of money up to 10 000 pounds for a pill based charity.    Called penng brohn cancer care.   which supported by their friend genevieve adams 27, who survived a heavy case of cancer in the previous year. wow! but shes in remission now. genevieve was diagnosed with a severe case of squamous cell caricona on her bday last year in 2012. Surgery had taken place too by removing her tumour from her tounge, and lymph nodes from her neck.''
